Raynham’s Aberdeen Angus Herd

Nurtured on Norfolk pastures: sustainable, low-impact farming with our Aberdeen Angus herd

Our Aberdeen Angus suckler herd is at the heart of our sustainable farming approach. The cattle roam freely across parkland, nourished by estate-grown feed and cared for by a dedicated team. Calves remain alongside their mothers, mirroring natural patterns and promoting high welfare from the very beginning.

Our 700-head herd is part of a long-standing commitment to quality and animal welfare. With two calving seasons, in spring and autumn, we maintain herd balance and create the best possible conditions for both mothers and calves.

Heritage-led, regenerative farming practices

All our cattle are raised and finished on the estate. They spend the majority of the year grazing natural pastures before being finished on a carefully managed diet of home-grown maize, grass silage and locally sourced brewers’ grains.

This regenerative approach supports animal health and welfare, and deepens our connection with Norfolk’s wider farming community.

This careful balance supports environmental sustainability while delivering rich, well-developed flavour. From pasture to plate, every step is guided by care for the land, the animals and the generations to come.
